Autumn textures…

Looking closely at some beautiful Autumn colours and textures today.

Gather a shell from the strewn beach
And listen at its lips: they sigh
The same desire and mystery,
The echo of the whole sea’s speech – Dante Gabriel Rossetti

I love seashells, texture and colour!

  1. beautiful little gastropods houses. I have a collection of fossil shells and many have not changed since before the cretaceous. A successful species! though my fave is the ammonite ( horn of ammon) and it alas is no more but once grew to the size of truck tire!! . Exquisite photos Robyn.

    1. Thank you Cybele πŸ™‚
I don’t know enough about shells, but I love them. I’m amazed at how each one was created by a special little sea creature to be their little houses, as you say.
You’ve whet my appetite on this Cybele. Must do some reading.
Wow, the size of a truck tyre!! How amazing is that?!!
