One Four Challenge 2016 – August Week 4

Good morning All!

I finally made it – I should have posted yesterday, but I’ve been feeling out of sorts with some fluey/cold thing and it’s slowed me right down.

I’m here today though 😀

So here we are in our last week of the challenge for August and once again the month seems to have flown right by. Let’s go!

The challenge is hosted here on the blog throughout the year in Feb, May, Aug and Nov and… in the Flickr group all year.

How it works: You can read all about it by clicking on the One Four Challenge page in the menu above or click here

Please do what suits you best and join in however and whenever you can.

About the challenge and how it works:

  • This challenge is about processing 1 image in 4 different ways over 4 weeks OR taking 4 versions of an image at the time of shooting (eg. different settings, lens etc.).. and sharing them over the 4 weeks.
  • We will all  process / post edit (our own chosen image) and share a different version each week. Process it however you like… and tell us a bit about it. You don’t have to show the original image unless you’d like to.
  • Try new things, experiment.  Be as creative or subtle as you wish to be. All skill levels are welcome.
  • Links to my blog are welcome.

My Image:

I haven’t had much in the way of creative thinking this week, due to feeling unwell, but here’s what I came up with anyway.

Once again I wasn’t sure what to do… so this week I took the image into Photoshop and added a texture layer and a pink gradient. I then messed around with blend modes and added some contrast.

This is where I left it, but personally I feel the image is unfinished, so I’d be curious to know your thoughts.

I began with my week 1 image again.

Here are last three week’s images again also:

Well that’s it from me – now over to you and your image:

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s efforts again for this final week of August.

Have a great one!!

  1. Hi Robyn – sorry I missed this AGAIN! I have gone from “no brain while studying” to “post study brain fade” LOL – I like the staging you did for this image and the treatments are varied enough to be interesting. I like the first and the last weeks the best myself 🙂

    1. No worries at all Stacey – I can understand the brain It is quite a transition!
Thanks for your thoughts – they are appreciated.
Either I ran out of imagination this week, or the image had limited edits in
But we try. Glad you like weeks 1 and 4!

    1. Just ‘mostly’ bouncing back now thanks Janis.
You know, you’re right – pink is probably not a good food colour and glad you like the texture!
Funny – when I was playing with this one, I wasn’t really thinking about food at all 😛
