It seems I’ve been going over this time and again in my head… not really wanting to let go.. but perhaps needing to let go of this phase, to move forward…
I’m not really sure what that means for me presently – BUT… you’ll definitely find me at Instagram … and I do have a website that is badly in need of attention… which I must attend to… and I can of course still be contacted through my Contact page here.
I have to say, the people I’ve met through this blog – You – virtually and in real life have been (and will continue to be) a great blessing to me.
It’s been a very fun 6 years writing this blog. Beginning as an online Fine Arts Journal in 2011 and then morphing into a Photography blog along the way.
The learning has been the best part.. and being inspired by YOU.
The challenges. Awesome.. and inspiring also.
The best part though – the people. YOU!
Now, it’s time for me to step back and I think get back to my art – not sure how long that will take, but I need to be tactile again and want to spend more time with my camera. I am a tactile person and presently life through circumstances isn’t allowing blogging and hands on creating… that’s where I want to and need to go.
As I said, I’m still around on Instagram and am looking forward to whatever is next. I will continue reading the blogs when possible and definitely see you on InstaG if you are there.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.. for being here for this part of my journey… this is farewell from this blog, but not goodbye from me 🙂
It’s that time of year again where I take some time away from the computer to spend some fun time with family over the holidays and January.
We get together to share Christmas and it’s usually low key and relaxing. Always nice to get together at the end of a busy year.
However you spend the holidays, I’d like to wish you and yours much happiness.
A little about 2015
What a great year it’s been!
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know more people through the One Four Challenge and just in general… and I thank you again for all of your visits and friendships.
For me it’s been another quality year of learning and for that I’m always thankful.
This end of the year has seen me with more energy for creating in design once again, so I’ve turned my Facebook page and stores back on – it’s been a while. Small steps for now 😉
The One Four Challenge
This really surprised me in the best way! I never imagined so many would be interested in my idea and it’s been a blast! For now the One Four is taking an undetermined break – time to renew. Keep challenging yourselves though and keep experimenting. Thank you to all of you who have been involved xx 😀
If you read my blog, you know I’ve had health issues this past couple of years, but this year has been a good one.. as I said, moving forward and I’ve learned a lot which is important. Look after yourselves! xx
Not much else to say
Well that doesn’t happen very often 🙂
So.. from me to you..
Merry Christmas and(or) Happy Holidays! Enjoy this end of the year and I’ll see you in 2016!
I’m back on WordPress this week after my break and I’ve noticed a few folks commenting about the new editor.
I couldn’t come to grips with the old ‘new’ editor myself, 😉 so I’ve been using the old one all along. For me the old ‘new’ one was unworkable and for now I still have an option, so I thought I’d share it with you. I hope it might work for you too.
The beginning and the end 🙂
A very sunny day in historic Milthorpe… more on this in another post.
As far as I know, there are 2 possible ways of getting to the old editor, depending on your site. You are aiming to get to the WP Admin menu.
I will say that I don’t know if this works for custom urls (your address) or for wordpress.org, but you might still be able to use your wordpress.com address maybe?
Step 1 – Hover on My Sites (top left) and it may bring up a menu. If it does, you’re looking to click on WP Admin. If it’s not there or you can’t do this go to step 2. If it is there… Click on Posts Add New….
Step 2 – Go to your URL address bar – where you type in your blog address eg: http etc robynsfineart.wordpress.com. Once you are there, type in after your blog address /wp-admin (eg:http etc robynsfineart.wordpress.com/wp-admin) …and click. This should bring up the old WP menu with Home, Store, Posts, Settings etc. Click on Posts, Add New. You should now be in the Old Post Editor.
Good luck trying this out. I do hope it works for you. It’s certainly worth a try if you prefer the old editor.
