Seeing Differently Challenge – Wrap up and gallery

Today we are wrapping up the Seeing Differently challenge!  This has been a fun journey throughout October trying to see things in a different way or perhaps finding different things within our own circumstances..

As I said in my previous post, this has been a great experiment, a good reminder and very rewarding.  I hope we all keep seeing differently. You never know what you’ll ‘see’.

Today I want to share a gallery of my images from the month and I’m going to choose one favourite..

My favourite has to be the little bird – ‘In the Spotlight’ – this moment was very special and I’m sure it will end up on my wall.  I want to keep seeing it – I’ll remember it for some time.

I wonder if you have a favourite from my gallery or yours?

I’d love to see a gallery of your work if you’d care to share and tell us which image is your favourite.  I think this will be a fun way to wrap up our challenge. I do hope you’ve enjoyed seeing differently!

I will continue to pop around the blogs reading the entries. Thanks to all of you who joined me this month – you have inspired me.

The challenge finishes on the 31st October..

Seeing Differently Challenge – 13 of 15

Today I’m sharing images for the 13th part of the seeing differently challenge…

A few weeks ago, I was out photographing the blossoms in the orchard and then I wandered across to the workshop.

I found this old toolbox – I love the wear and tear of years and the wonderful textures.

This made me think about telling a story with your subject…

Maybe by shooting a part (or even a suggestion) of the subject… you are giving your viewer the opportunity to engage and imagine the rest for themselves…

seeing-differently13_robyngosby-2016Just my thoughts. I know this is something I enjoy doing.

Maybe this is food for thought for you too.

Finding 15 (different) images throughout October is proving to be quite a challenge and a very satisfying one.  Using a different lens or point of view offers something more than the usual, especially when you are shooting in your own space. Awesome!

If this challenge (idea) appeals to you, please jump in. You are welcome!  Even though we are on the home run, some folks are going to share a gallery after they find their images..

Please let me know if I’ve missed any of your posts.. I know sometimes it happens. I am enjoying seeing all the different images and ways of seeing, being posted by everyone! Thanks for joining me.

I’d better spread my last 2 challenge posts out as we near the end of the month.. 😉 .. and then I’ll share a gallery of the 15 images at the end of the month.

Seeing Differently Challenge – 3 of 15

Here is my 3rd image for the challenge..

I was walking up the stairs inside.. and briefly glanced at the blind with the sunlight on it and thought, ‘Oh yeah, that’s neat’.

Then I realised I needed to stop and take notice – to really see what was before me – something that again became an abstract and more about pattern (to me) than anything else.

Hover on the pics for details.

Not at all a great photo – as such, but such an interesting observation. It’s good to ‘see’.

I wonder how you’re going with seeing differently? Love the images that have been posted so far 🙂 Hope you’re having fun and being challenged. I know I am and I wonder what will present itself next?

If exploring this idea appeals to you, please jump in. You are welcome 🙂

Seeing Differently Challenge – 2 of 15

This is my 2nd image for the challenge..

With this image, I went to have a look at the moss growing on the driveway wall – wondering if I might see something different.

I didn’t expect to see the shadow creating a V shape turning it into an unknown abstract.. and I love the curvature of the line on the right.  Processing the image in black and white really enhanced the abstraction and became more about light and shadow and textures.

A simple everyday sight to me – becomes something interesting by looking through the lens.  I wonder what you see here?
