Seeing Differently Challenge – Wrap up and gallery

Today we are wrapping up the Seeing Differently challenge!  This has been a fun journey throughout October trying to see things in a different way or perhaps finding different things within our own circumstances..

As I said in my previous post, this has been a great experiment, a good reminder and very rewarding.  I hope we all keep seeing differently. You never know what you’ll ‘see’.

Today I want to share a gallery of my images from the month and I’m going to choose one favourite..

My favourite has to be the little bird – ‘In the Spotlight’ – this moment was very special and I’m sure it will end up on my wall.  I want to keep seeing it – I’ll remember it for some time.

I wonder if you have a favourite from my gallery or yours?

I’d love to see a gallery of your work if you’d care to share and tell us which image is your favourite.  I think this will be a fun way to wrap up our challenge. I do hope you’ve enjoyed seeing differently!

I will continue to pop around the blogs reading the entries. Thanks to all of you who joined me this month – you have inspired me.

The challenge finishes on the 31st October..

Seeing Differently Challenge – 15 of 15

Today I’m sharing my last image and the 15th part of the seeing differently challenge…

seeing air..
seeing air..

This image has me in a kind of quandary..well only a little – I took the image because I was wanting to capture some of the beautiful apple blossoms that will be gone soon.  I did do that..but… for me, instead of the pretty blossom keeping my attention – it’s all about the bubbly air.  It was a very bright day and I was shooting up into the branches. I do love the bubbly air / bokeh  🙂 Wonder what you see.

Something to try if you find lots of light or highlights in your viewfinder – set your aperture to wide (one of the lower number f-stops on your camera) and experiment. Try a few different settings.. you never know what you’ll find!

Finding 15 (different) images throughout October has ben awesome!  I can honestly say that at no time during this month, did I feel in my comfort zone.  I tried to see differently, although I don’t feel I achieved that with every image… but.. it’s been a great experiment and a rewarding one.  Once again, I’m amazed and delighted at what we’ve all found / seen, within our own spaces.

The challenge wraps up on the 31st October..

On the 31st I’m going to share a gallery of my 15 images for the month (all together) and I’m going to pick my favourites from the ones I’ve taken this month.

I’d love to see a gallery of your work too, if you’d care to share – posting on the 31st – and tell us all which of your images are your favourites too.  I think this will be a fun way to wrap up our challenge. I do hope you’ve enjoyed seeing differently!

I’m still making my way around the blogs presently.  Thank you for joining me this month!

Seeing Differently Challenge – 14 of 15

Today I’m sharing 3 images for the 14th part of the seeing differently challenge…

I took these images some while back and came across them yesterday – I thought they fit the challenge.

I love capturing the ephemeral… even in a tea cup!

I know this is just a tea cup, but to me it’s not ordinary.  This moment will never come again! I love that!

When I was shooting this, I grabbed the camera and set my ISO to 640, as it was the end of the day – shooting handheld – this resulted in noise… but I had to share 🙂

Finding 15 (different) images throughout October has proved to be really a challenge!! I’m amazed and delighted at what we’ve all found / seen, within our own spaces.

Seeing in a different way – observing – treats us to things that (perhaps?) we miss ordinarily.

If this challenge (idea) appeals to you, please jump in. There is still time.

The challenge wraps up on the 31st October..

I have one more post to share and then on the 31st I’m going to share a gallery of my 15 images for the month and I’m going to pick my favourites from the ones I’ve taken this month.

I’d love to see a gallery of your work too, if you’d care to share – posting on the 31st – and tell us all which of your images are your favourites too.  I think this will be a fun way to wrap up our challenge. I do hope you’ve enjoyed seeing differently!

Please let me know if I’ve missed any of your posts.. I am sooo enjoying seeing all the different images and ways of seeing, being posted by everyone! Thanks for joining me this month!

Seeing Differently Challenge – 13 of 15

Today I’m sharing images for the 13th part of the seeing differently challenge…

A few weeks ago, I was out photographing the blossoms in the orchard and then I wandered across to the workshop.

I found this old toolbox – I love the wear and tear of years and the wonderful textures.

This made me think about telling a story with your subject…

Maybe by shooting a part (or even a suggestion) of the subject… you are giving your viewer the opportunity to engage and imagine the rest for themselves…

seeing-differently13_robyngosby-2016Just my thoughts. I know this is something I enjoy doing.

Maybe this is food for thought for you too.

Finding 15 (different) images throughout October is proving to be quite a challenge and a very satisfying one.  Using a different lens or point of view offers something more than the usual, especially when you are shooting in your own space. Awesome!

If this challenge (idea) appeals to you, please jump in. You are welcome!  Even though we are on the home run, some folks are going to share a gallery after they find their images..

Please let me know if I’ve missed any of your posts.. I know sometimes it happens. I am enjoying seeing all the different images and ways of seeing, being posted by everyone! Thanks for joining me.

I’d better spread my last 2 challenge posts out as we near the end of the month.. 😉 .. and then I’ll share a gallery of the 15 images at the end of the month.
